Jason Todd thought he was ready for anything when he headed to Titans Tower to have a talk with Robin. He was not ready for Stephanie Brown. In which Steph is the best, as per usual.
The biggest downside of being adopted by Bruce Wayne is putting up with rich people events, including one where Jason will be in a room with a bunch of rich kids for a couple very long hours while Bruce goes to the adults' meeting. Jason is ready for a very bad time but the Drake kid listens to him from the start and keeps backing up Jason's ideas even though they've never met. Jason warms up to Tim Drake long before Mad Hatter tries to take over the meeting and Tim backs him up again. aw, this is adorable.
Jason does the smart thing and leaves town when the Joker escapes, but he doesn't tell anyone, and Bruce freaks out when they can't find him. This is hilarious and also heartfelt.
The man holding Damian flexed, and the boy made a noise Alfred had never heard from him before. He was gasping, his congested lungs making him hack, making him whimper against his will. His eyes were streaming. Master Damian’s eyes. Master Damian, who never cried. Alfred does what he has to do to protect Damian and the family deals with the aftermath.
When Arthur and Eames agree to a job on Bruce Wayne, they have no idea just how completely it will go wrong. Heavy, melancholy, but compelling read. (could have used more batman, though)
Jason is hit with cuddle pollen, but it's Jason so he can't make the whole thing easy, can he? Oh Jason. It almost goes badly but luckily Dick manages to defuse the situation.
When he ends up ditched in Atlanta after a fight with his dad, Tim decides to do the only sensible thing: Tell no one and make the 800 mile journey back to Gotham on his own. Because the "call Batman when you're in trouble" rule only applies when he's Robin, right? Oh Tim. This is really good.
UK to US Recipe Conversions | Cups, Teaspoon, Tablespoon, Grams, Millilitres
As you may have already guessed, I am based in the UK. I have found a lot of differences between UK and US ingredients, names, and measurements which may be confusing to my US readers when I post a…
The boy doesn’t approach him as Daredevil. Not at first. “Hello, Mister Murdock, you don’t remember me, nobody, um, remembers me—no, no, that sounds dumb.” “Hi, Mister Murdock! I’m Peter Parker, and I kind of stopped being a person, a few months ago, and you helped me once and I was hoping you could help me find out if I still have a social security number? No, that’s worse.” “Hi, I’m Peter Parker. You don’t remember me, but you helped me once, and I know you help people who are in… weird situations. There was a wizard involved. I don’t know if I’m legally a citizen anymore, and… no, that doesn’t… heck.” This works really well. Oh Peter.
Roy is alone in Marbella, and it's fine until he finds out that Jamie fucking Tartt is in Ibiza. He gives the invitation to join him for a few days against his better judgment, but he still gives it. Sweet and funny moderately slow burn for Roy to figure out that he might want Jamie to join him and Keeley in bed.
Katy Chen and the Battle of Alcatraz by @Anonymous.ao3
Katy is just minding her own business, eating her dinner at her favorite Korean barbeque place, when the skies open up above Alcatraz. “SHIT,” Shaun says, already calling the Rings up out of his backpack and onto his arms. “Not these guys again!” This is a lot of fun!
In 2046, Deacon gets a nosebleed, and glimpses both the past and the future as everything changes. In 1491, he and Jennifer find a moment or two to keep for themselves. This is a really lovely look at Deacon.
The problem with having an eidetic memory, Enola discovers, is that she can recall with perfect clarity the sounds Tewkesbury made in that thin, hazy half-dark. The UST is deliciously palpable as Enola tries to figure out what to do about these feelings stirred by what she witness.
The unseen weeks of Eugenides and Irene's engagement as they sneak around the palace and steal moments of privacy for themselves. This is really lovely.
Five times Eugenides and Attolia stole some privacy for themselves and one time they let other people see them. Exactly what it says on the tin. Sweet and hot.
Attolia and Attolis discuss the situation they, and their country, find themselves in. A Conspiracy of Kings missing scene. Really lovely missing scene showing Gen and Irene in private.
“I think it’s in our best interest to stay occupied. Don’t you?” Danny’s gotten them a job; of course he has. What else is Rusty going to do but say yes? “What were you thinking?” Rusty asks, and Danny’s answering grin is sharp. This is a lot of fun.
Know That Not a Thing Could Come Between Us by @Anonymous.ao3
There's always been one constant in Sally Owens' life - before, during and after everything, there's Gillian. Lovely look at the sisters over the years.
D'avin wants to get himself and his brother off the planet, Johnny rereads an old favorite, and Dutch misses Johnny when he leaves. Nice insights into D'Avin, Johnny, and Dutch via Captain Apex.
