It’s a little disconcerting, but it also makes him think about the way Bucky has been since he showed up in Steve’s motel room last week, and how he likes the new, quieter Bucky as well. None of the ways either of them have changed and been changed makes any difference to the way Steve feels about him, and it’s nice to be certain of that. Bucky crashes Steve's road trip. Quiet and lovely.
