Februar diesen Jahres, das der niederländischen Regierung aufträgt, den Export von Bauteilen für F-35 Kampfjets nach Israel zu untersagen. Auch deutsche Kriegswaffenexporte nach Israel verstoßen gegen völkervertragsrechtliche Normen. Sie sind außenpolitisch bedenklich und sollten im Einklang mit nationalem Außenwirtschaftsrecht nicht aufrechterhalten werden.

Die sunnitische Hamas (Arabische Abkürzung für: „Bewegung des islamischen Widerstandes") hat sich aus dem palästinensischen Teil der Muslimbruderschaft entwickelt und wurde mit Beginn der ersten Intifada im Jahr 1987 aktiv. Das vorrangige politische Ziel der Hamas ist die „Befreiung" Gesamtpalästinas und damit implizit die Auflösung Israels als eigenständiger Staat. Das Existenzrecht Israels wird nicht anerkannt, auch wenn moderate Hamas-Politiker dies in der Vergangenheit unter bestimmten Bedingungen bei Verhandlungen in Aussicht stellten.
