This series consists of records of baptisms that were performed by Army chaplains during the period January 1917 to February 1955. The full data concerning each record of baptism may be found in the officiating chaplain's report, located in the series Monthly Reports and Personnel Records, 1920–1950 (National Archives Identifier 6016856).
Each index card gives the name of the person being baptized, the name of the officiating chaplain, and the date (month and year) the baptism occurred.
Names of soldiers treated at the military hospital in Williamsville, NY (northeast of Buffalo), during the War of 1812.
The original register is in the collection of the U.S. National Archives. Scans were acquired and shared by the Cheektowaga Historical Association and uploaded by The Buffalo History Museum.
