The United Automobile Workers of America (UAW) is the primary union within the American automobile industry. Founded in 1935, the UAW became one of the most powerful unions in the United States, both on the shop floor and within the American polity. This gallery contains photographs that depict the United Auto Workers Union history, including strikes, parades, conventions, and other union-sponsored activities. The photographs highlight the achievements of the union and feature the union rank and file and officers, as well as historically influential national and international figures.

The Mills Archive is a permanent repository for the documentary and photographic records of traditional and contemporary mills and milling, as well as similar structures dependent on traditional power sources. It makes that material freely available for public inspection and use in research and learning. It has rescued over 3 million documents and images that might otherwise have ended up in a landfill site. The collections show the rich and diverse crafts, buildings, machinery, equipment and people involved with mills in the UK and around the world.
