Data suggests 2024 will likely surpass 2023 as the hottest year ever recorded. The Copernicus Climate Change Service says temperatures are close to topping the 2.7-degree rise that was set by the Paris Agreement. In the last month, heat-related deaths have been reported in Greece, Saudi Arabia, India and the United States.
