Democracy 101 (A Refresher for Anyone Who Is Just Doing Their Best In This Capitalistic Hellscape)
Letās be realāmost of us learned about democracy in grade 10, and it wasnāt exactly a generous, empowering, or engaging education. It was more like: Hereās how voting works. Hereās a flowchart of government branches. Good luck out there.
But democracy isnāt just something you memorizeāitās something you participate in. And if weāre going to navigate this system (especially with a federal election coming up), we need real answers, not recycled high school social studies lectures.
So hereās the deal:
š Weāre doing a refresher, but without the boring bullshit.
š You send us the democracy questions you actually haveāthe ones youāre too afraid to ask or never got a clear answer on.
š We break it down, answer your questions, and give you access to our behind-the-scenes resources.
Things Weāll Cover (Depending on What You Ask!):
āļø How democracy actually works in Canada (not just the textbook version)
āļø What this election means and how power really moves
āļø Ways to engage beyond voting that actually make a difference
āļø How to handle political conversations without losing your mind
No jargon, no condescending takesājust real talk, practical answers, and a space to learn together.

This is a community space, not a lectureācome as you are, bring your questions, and letās figure this out together.
