What's causing your neuropathy Watch out for these potential environmental exposures! - YouTube
Click here to subscribe - https://www.glutenfreesociety.org/wxrn Neuropathy. What does that really mean? It’s a fancy medical term that means nerve disease or nerve damage. Neuropathies that can be centralized, meaning coming from your brain or spinal cord. Then you have what are called peripheral neuropathies. These are when the symptoms manifest outside of the brain, your spinal cord, so more in your hands, for example, or in your feet or in your legs, numbness, tingling, burning pain, those types of symptoms that occur in the periphery. There are a number of different reasons why we might see somebody developing a or a nerve damage type of problem. Some of those causes can be physical in nature. For example, a herniated disc can put pressure on a nerve causing a lot of compression that leads to nerve damage and numbness, tingling, loss of motor control or loss of muscle or weakness. So this is a physical neuropathy, meaning there's a physical damage that is occupying space. It's putting pressure, compressing the nerve, and that can happen as a result of a disc. Then you can also have neuropathies as a result of other forms of trauma. Sometimes people get into car accidents and they damage the scalene muscles, the muscles in the neck or the tissues deepen the neck or they'll stretch the plexus of nerves in the neck and shoulder called the brachial plexus. And those types of traumatic damages can also cause a neuropathy. You might come across some environmental exposures that can actually create nerve damage. An example of an environmental exposure would be from pesticides. Organophosphates as a class of pesticides are notorious and very well documented in medical literature to create nerve damage and nerve problems. Heavy metals can also create or contribute to neuropathy. Many of you have probably heard of mercury toxicity. Mercury is a known neurotoxin. We know it can create damage. We also know from research on dental amalgam that if you had your fillings done longer ago than 20 years, the likelihood that you have silver amalgams in your mouth that contain a form of mercury is very, very high. So aside from vaccines and aside from amalgams, some people are eating high quantities of fish and, and and getting mercury exposure from bigger, larger fish because of contamination in some of the waters. Mercury, arsenic, lead, and thallium. These are some of the main metals really that we can see create a neurological type of damage that causes neuropathy, numbness, tingling, burning pain, changes in motor strength. Losing strength in your hands or losing strength in your arms or legs, weakness, those are signs of the potential for neuropathy. Trouble getting to sleep at night? Try These Natural Solutions For Improved Sleep 1. Change your diet and exercise to overcome obesity. Many with sleep apnea develop the disorder because of their weight. 2. Ask you doctor to check for chronic sinus infection (both bacteria and fungal). Swelling in the airway from an infection can lead to reduced airflow and sleep disturbance. 3. Ask you doctor to check you for different forms of anemia. Anemia causes a reduction of oxygen to your brain leading to poor sleep and night time waking. 4. Stop eating dairy. It's mucogenic and contributes to a reduction of air flow. 5. Stop eating grain. Grain can cause swelling and inflammation of the airways as well. Consider the No Grain NO Pain 30 day diet protocol from my best selling book. The human fascination with spices is as old as cultural time itself. There is an obvious beauty to the various aromas and flavors these plant extracts express (have you smelled cumin lately?), and undoubtedly these first drew us closer to them, but our primordial relationship with them involves much more than aesthetic infatuation

However, they also reduce the secretion of protective mucus in the gastrointestinal tract. In addition, evidence suggests that they interfere with beneficial bacteria in the gut, which can also reduce the production of mucus as well as promote inflammation. Corticosteroids can also increase your risk of deficiencies for the following nutrients: Calcium Chromium Vitamin D – important because it helps regulate the function of your gut bacteria as well as helps keep inflammation under control. Animal studies have also found that vitamin D helps regulate the expression of proteins associated with the tight junctions between intestinal cells. Magnesium Zinc Potassium Folate Vitamin A Vitamin C Each of these nutrients are important for gut function, digestive function, immune function, and overall necessary for the body to be able to heal from leaky gut.
