Salt of the Earth - Sodium and Plant Based Diets - YouTube
Is a plant-based diet sufficient to reach sodium goals? Non-vegetarians get nearly 3,500 milligrams of sodium a day on average, the equivalent of about a teaspoon and a half of table salt. Now, the U.S. Dietary guidelines recommend getting under 2,300 a day, and the American Heart Association says, no way, get under just 1,500 a day. Vegetarians did better, but still double the American Heart Association limit. Subscribe to NutritionFacts.org’s free newsletter to receive our B12 infographic that covers the latest research takeaways and Dr. Greger’s updated recommendations: https://nutritionfacts.org/subscribe/ This is part of my extended series on sodium. Do I have a vitamin B12 deficiency - YouTube
Who is at greatest risk for developing a vitamin B12 deficiency, even though you may have a diet or supplementation that's adequate in vitamin B12? Some of the people that I see that come back highly vitamin B12 deficient are athletes, and that's mainly because the oxygen requirement of an athlete is much greater. So if you're an athlete and you're really struggling with low energy and lethargy, again, get back and ask your doctor, "Run that test." Ask your doc to measure your intracellular vitamin B12 level if you really want to know about longterm deficiency, because the fact of the matter is that B12, when it does its job, it works inside the cell. Everybody has homocysteine, but if your homocysteine shoots up over 11, then you might have a vitamin B12 deficiency. Ask your doctor, "Run methylmalonic acid." This is a marker for potential vitamin B12 deficiency as well. These markers are going to help you and your doctor detect that vitamin B12 deficiency much, much sooner. Selenium - Which is the Very Best in the World - YouTube
Selenium - Which is the Very Best in the World - YouTube
The safest strongest form of selenium is bonded to a lipid and as such it is safe to take at mega-dose levels. ** Video Transcription** Selenium Tung Oil: http://www.whnstore.com/Revici-Selenated-Tung-Oil-p/sup-tsel-1oz.htm?click=159 Selenium Medicine eBook: https://drsircus.com/shop/ebooks/selenium-medicine/ Selenium, often and very important overlooked mineral. Medicine of course likes to ignore all the minerals, and give pharmaceuticals that deplete the minerals even more, because anything that's toxic, anything that's a chemical, needs to be eliminated and it takes minerals to eliminate. Selenium is very interesting mineral and there's a lot of fear around it, meaning got to be very careful about dosages, it's toxic, aspirin is much more toxic, but let's buy in to what they say: you should be taking 200 maybe 400 maximum 600 micrograms of most of the selenium products that are on the market. I'm gonna be talking about a very special selenium, but before I talk about that, one of the best selenium 's beside the best, is selenium made with yeast. The science about selenium basically says if you take 200 micrograms a day, which is very little, most tablets or pills whatever are 200 micrograms or even less, 55 micrograms. But if you take 200 a day, your chance of dying of cancer is 50% less. It's a lot of bang for the buck in terms of selenium. Selenium is kind of a mysterious mineral. We have selenium proteins, there's a lot of different compounds, so many of them which they still don't understand yet. One of the most important functions of selenium is it's used in the production of glutathione, which is the master enzyme for detoxifying the cells. So it's very important. I have been recommending a very special selenium for years. It's called tung oil, and it was kind of selenium developed by a doctor or a surgeon in New York City, it's selenium bonded to a lipid to a fat, and this Dr. Revici used to inject it to treat cancer. The product that's, he's not alive anymore, but the product that is still available is for oral use, and each drop is a milligram. That's 5 to 20 times stronger than other products. First time I took it, many years ago, I took 26 drops or 26 in milligrams, and some of my colleagues freaked out and got very nervous about what I was doing, and yet I felt like Chuck Yeager. I took the 26 milligrams and didn't bat an eye. I've never felt any toxicity from this product. When I take it, I don't count the drops. I take a drop before I put it under my tongue. For cancer patients this is really good because you can take very high dosages, as one of the arms of one's cancer treatment. And one can do that safely. So again it's called tongue oil cost $100 a bottle last time I looked and I highly recommend it (http://www.whnstore.com/Revici-Selenated-Tung-Oil-p/sup-tsel-1oz.htm?click=159).

Doctors often misdiagnose zinc deficiency, unaware of impact of excess (...)
Doctors often misdiagnose zinc deficiency, and seem to be unaware of the impact of excess zinc on the body, shows a small audit of clinical practice. Zinc is an essential trace element that is required in daily quantities of 5.5 to 9.5 mg for men, and 4 to 7 mg for women. But zinc supplements are usually only available in formulations of 45 or 50 mg. The US recommended tolerable limit is 40 mg/day.

Selenium Benefits A Unique Trace Mineral That Provides Powerful Cancer Prevention
We are surrounded by toxic chemicals in the environment all around us. One of these pollutants is mercury which is a biological toxin that can be lethal. Mercury binds easily to fatty tissue especially in the kidneys, liver, and brain. It can accumulate in high concentrations weakening these organs and causing severe harm. One of the best detoxifying agents to prevent mercury build-up is the mineral selenium. Most people have elevated concentrations of mercury in their body. Mercury competes with other essential trace minerals at cellular binding sites. A deficiency of trace minerals can readily allow mercury to accumulate in

Click here to subscribe - https://www.glutenfreesociety.org/wxrn My favorite calcium supplement - https://www.glutenfreesociety.org/shop/supplements/general-health/ultra-calmag-gluten-free/ What causes calcium deficiency? The simple answer is lack of consumption in the diet, but there are other causes for low calcium. A deficiency of calcium can be caused by these 5 things: 1. Highly refined sugar and sodium based diet 2. High level of caffeine through coffee, tea, and energy drinks 3. Alcohol 4. Anti-acids 5.Avoidance of sunshine (vitamin D3 deficiency) leads to calcium malabsorption. Vitamin D is necessary to help the intestines absorb calcium from your food. Without vitamin D, low calcium is predictable. Others causes or risk factors for poor or low calcium include inflammatory bowel issues, chronic IBS (diarrhea), growing children (need calcium for bone formation).
