Foster Type is the typographic work of Dave Foster, an independent designer based in Sydney, Australia. He draws typefaces and lettering for design studios, type foundries, brands and individuals around the world. A powerful visual presence is necessary for any message to survive among the noise of today. Dave specialises in giving the durability of form required for words to achieve that presence. From single letters to entire typefaces, he tailors letterforms to specific purposes.

Bold-Decisions is operated by Mads Wildgaard, and founded in 2015. The foundry is operating from Amsterdam. The initial idea of BD, is to develop typefaces that are interesting to us and allow ourselves to let them mature while keeping them close, as they are inevitably extensions of ourselves. From rainy days to sunny days, these typefaces have been worked over and over to the initial point where we’re happy to release them and see someone else make a beautiful design. They all continue to be reworked until we don’t know when, to optimize technical details, and to adapt to our own developing and fleeting aesthetic preferences.

Founded in 2004, Just Another Foundry is oper­ated by Tim Ahrens and Shoko Mugikura – a type designer and a typo­graph­er, respect­ively. Despite our unas­sum­ing name, we are uncom­monly skilled in the design and produc­tion of text and display fonts for print and screen. In addi­tion to devel­op­ing our retail library, we provide custom and custom­ised typefaces for small and large clients alike. TIGHTYPE is an independent type design collective, based in Constance, Germany. Founded in 2015 by two graphic design students, Fabian Fohrer and Fabian Huber, we try to provide visually strong typefaces for people who value contemporary type design. EuropaType – Fonts for you

ECAL Typefaces has, since 2016, been the first online type foundry based within a university. Its initial remit was to respond to frequent requests to acquire the typefaces seen in ECAL corporate communications, such as posters, invitation cards and catalogues. The foundry is now fully embedded in the ECAL Master’s Degree in Type Design (MATD), and also features work from the ECAL Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. All fonts have been designed by students.
