COVID-19 Virus Can Persist in the Body More Than a Year after Infection - PolyBio Research Foundation
“The fact that every new SARS-CoV-2 infection has the potential to become chronic is perhaps the single most concerning aspect of this virus” says Dr. Amy Proal, President of PolyBio. “We have compelling data that viral persistence is much more common than recognized, which could have major health implications.”

Detailed thread on Twitter New study shows that those infected by Sars2/Covid have pockets of compartmentalized virus in organs across the body, including the heart and testis containing new variants implying virus is able to spawn new variants from ongoing infection ala HIV—180 unique variants found.

The CDC recommends condom use for weeks (?) after one is infected with SARS-2.

We know many people have persistent infections in GI, testes, brains, and more, so it wouldn't be any big surprise if LC can spread it sexually or if it restarted replicating in respiratory tissue.

We reaffirm that the main cause of LongCOVID is the Viral Persistence It should not be considered Post-Infectious,Sequelae There is an active infection that mainly affects the blood vessels and there are often co-infections Something similar happens in CFS
