Official Google Blog: One place to find everything new from Google
Leo's tool: But if you want to keep up just with what’s new (or even just what Google does besides search), you’ll want to know about Google New. A few of us had a 20 percent project idea: create a single destination called Google New where people could find the latest product and feature launches from Google. It’s designed to pull in just those posts from various blogs. We hope it helps you find something useful you’ve never tried before.

Zynga Moves 1 Petabyte Of Data Daily; Adds 1,000 Servers A Week
Some numbers for you Jeff: Zynga’s CTO Cadir Lee is speaking at Oracle’s OpenWorld conference about the gaming giant’s infrastructure, business and challenges. Lee offers the following statistics: 10 percent of the world’s internet population (approximately 215 million monthly users) has played a Zynga game. The company adds as many as 1,000 servers every week to accommodate growing traffic. Zynga’s properties move a whopping 1 petabyte of data daily, and the company operates its own data centers; using a hybrid private/public cloud infrastructure. Zynga’s technology supports 3 billion neighbor connections on games like Frontierville and Farmville.

Hooray For Mike Arrington
Hooray For Mike Arrington
Henry Blodget applauds: We do, however, want to tip our hat to Mike for his story (it's great) and his, well, balls. It's this sort of work that makes this new form of journalism so valuable and fun. It's also the type of work that would make the tech industry barely notice if the mainstream media just rolled over and died.
