Information Regarding the Latest Update for Windows 8.1 - GLADIATOR@MSFT - Site Home - TechNet Blogs
Since Microsoft wants to ensure that customers benefit from the best support and servicing experience and to coordinate and simplify servicing across both Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 8.1 RT and Windows 8.1, this update will be considered a new servicing/support baseline. What this means is those users who have elected to install updates manually will have 30 days to install Windows 8.1 Update on Windows 8.1 devices; after this 30-day window - and beginning with the May Patch Tuesday, Windows 8.1 user's devices without the update installed will no longer receive security updates.
HTC Nexus 8 Set for Release in Q3 | Androidheadlines.com
According to Digitimes, who is citing anonymous sources, it appears that Google is looking to launch this tablet in Q3. Which sounds about right, let me explain. Google I/O is June 25-26. And Q2 ends on June 30th. Which means we could see the Nexus 8 announced at Google I/O and then released about a week later. Digitimes also reports that Google is moving to a 8-inch tablet and having HTC build it instead of ASUS. Which many of us have been asking for HTC to build another Nexus as many of us love their build, but would love to see stock Android on their devices, hence a Nexus.
What about removable SD card in 4.4 - Google Groups
We've come a long way since API level 1, and looking back we found that some apps would scatter their files across external storage. If an app was uninstalled, these files would be orphaned, and users had to manually scavenge through all these files to free up disk space. This was a bad user experience, and something we wanted to avoid repeating. So when we added APIs for secondary external storage devices in KitKat, we carefully limited write access to directories belonging to the running app. This gives us the best of both worlds: apps can take advantage of the extra storage space, and users have better visibility into and control over how apps are using their storage space. (These package-specific directories are surfaced to apps through Context.getExternalFilesDirs(), etc.)

Why Comcast Will Be Allowed to Buy Time Warner Cable and Kill Net Neutrality - Esquire
For the past three years, Comcast's Senior VP of Governmental Affairs has been Meredith Baker. Baker's last job was the Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission, where she signed off on the controversial NBCUniversal sale to Comcast in 2009. Now we know that Baker, the former FCC Commissioner and a public official, was around to help make sure net neutrality died so Internet costs could soar, and that Time Warner Cable would be allowed to fold into Comcast, despite claims that the new megacorp might violate antitrust laws. Neither the new net neutrality rules nor a Time Warner Cable sale to Comcast could possibly benefit an average consumer or a small business. Both are likely to pass anyway.

Tomorrow’s 11-inch and 13-inch Airs are codenamed J41A and J43A, respectively, and their SKUs are simply a variation to the current MacBook Air SKU labels. For example, the entry 13-inch MacBook Air of today is known as "MD760LL/A", while this week’s refreshed version is known as "MD760LL/B." It's unclear if Apple will even promote the updated Airs.
