The Workforce Identity developer advocacy team’s goal is to turn developers all over the world who build with Okta into Okta champions by proactively enabling their success.    As a Senior Developer Advocate for Workforce Identity, you represent Okta to external developers. You will establish relationships primarily with developers already using Okta or in the process of onboarding. You will craft resources to help them build with Okta, including sample apps, videos, technical guides, and workshops. You will engage with our customers and 3rd party integrator community, championing their interests, accelerating their development, and translating their feedback into actionable product insights.   Job Duties & Responsibilities Engage online developer communities (forums, social networks) to improve affinity toward Okta and grow members of Workforce Developer Community.  Capture and drive feedback to respective product teams Utilize your “developer zero” mindset to test product usage scenarios Create compelling content such as blogs, tutorials, videos Support / enhance developer documentation Establish thought leadership in identity with developers at events Collaboration with DevRel team focused on Customer Identity    Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: You have 5+ years of experience as a developer - a plus if you have any experience in developer relations. Strong technical understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, SDKs, and authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, Basic Auth, ...) Server-side development (.NET or Java) a plus You not only enjoy creating developer content, you are eager to share your findings with other developers, whether online or at in-person events Great verbal and written communication skills. We are looking for a Developer Relations Engineer to help build community accessible software, examples and documentation for the Signadot solution. You should be interested in the DevOps and Kubernetes space and be seasoned at writing clear code and documentation. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, fast worker and excited about growing a company from the ground up. You will report directly to the CEO. We are open to full and part time candidates from anywhere in the world. Key Responsibilities Create and document SDKs, product integrations, and sample applications for the free Signadot version, enabling and illustrating how DevOps and software engineers developers can build automated testing for their microservices. Your responsibilities will include: Write working code and test your documentation, focusing on the languages of your expertise. Write compelling content including blog posts, long form articles and diagrams to accompany your work. Engage with your software engineering peers over social media to educate others on how to solve their challenges using Signadot. For example: After 30 days you’ll have published one blog post and accompanying documentation as well as engaged with peers over social media. At 60 days you’ll have published several guides using Signadot with common languages and tutorials integrating with third party applications. At 90 days you will have created an application and documentation digging deeper into advanced testing strategies. Additionally, you will: Engage with the Signadot community in Slack, StackOverflow, social media and in-person events. Update and revise technical documentation.
