Coal mining in Northeastern Pennsylvania, specifically in Luzerne County, had a long and dangerous history. From the day-to-day jobs to mine disasters that devastated the area, known, and sometimes unknown, photographers documented this era in Pennsylvania history. The photographs in this collection date back to the early 1800s. The physical collection located at LCHS's Library includes photographic images, negatives, stereographs, and postcards. This collection contains artifacts, documents, newspaper items, photographs, and transcripts related to the people, items, and events in the history of Ulysses (Lewisville), PA from the late 1800s through the 20th century.
Records of postmaster appointments made from July 1, 1931, to September 30, 1971, that were recorded on large cards bound in volumes. Information about the dates of appointment of existing postmasters was copied from the series of records previously used by the Post Office Department. Also includes lists of appointments, resignations, retirements, and deaths.
The UUA Congregational Records contain a file about every single UUA congregation that existed during the twentieth century. Most files contain dozens of pages, with some larger congregational files numbering hundreds of pages. Documents within these files include field reports from regions, districts, and the national office; congregational histories; photographs; correspondence between the congregation and the UUA; paperwork filed to the UUA; sermons and orders of service; and other printed ephemera.

John Lorkovich was an undertaker who operated a funeral business on Pittsburgh's North Side, which consisted primarily of clients from the Croatian immigrant community. Included here is a single volume of 598 funeral case records dating from 1910-1915. A name index to the volume is included.
