As a sixth grader, Vogel participated in a hearing test. The only problem – she never heard the proverbial beeps. Vogel was hearing impaired and without the means or insurance to secure hearing aids. Fast forward to her mid-20s, and Vogel finally experienced the power of sound. Vogel shares her journey and the impact of the high costs of hearing aids on adolescent addiction and suicidal ideation.
