Diet lacking in zinc is detrimental to human, animal health Even moder (...)
The trace element zinc has an impact on the essential metabolic functions of most living organisms. New research has found that even minimal zinc deficiency impairs digestion, albeit without any typical symptoms such as skin problems or fatigue. Hence, short-term zinc deficiency in the diet should be avoided.

Selenium Benefits A Unique Trace Mineral That Provides Powerful Cancer Prevention
We are surrounded by toxic chemicals in the environment all around us. One of these pollutants is mercury which is a biological toxin that can be lethal. Mercury binds easily to fatty tissue especially in the kidneys, liver, and brain. It can accumulate in high concentrations weakening these organs and causing severe harm. One of the best detoxifying agents to prevent mercury build-up is the mineral selenium. Most people have elevated concentrations of mercury in their body. Mercury competes with other essential trace minerals at cellular binding sites. A deficiency of trace minerals can readily allow mercury to accumulate in

Some of the diseases caused by calcium deficiency include: Colon cancer is one of the disease states that we know calcium deficiency chronically can contribute to. Calcium forms kidney stones when your diet is chronically low in calcium, and you're chronically pumping calcium from your bone into your bloodstream. Most kidney stones are what are called calcium oxalate stones. Some people don't have the bacteria to properly break down oxalate in their GI tract lining. Chronically low calcium can create or contribute to bone loss and seizure disorders as well. Rickets and osteomalacia, which are diseases associated directly with calcium deficiency, rickets, predominantly as a disease of Vitamin D metabolism more than it is calcium, but the reason the bones start to bow out. If you've ever seen somebody with bow legs, that's rickets. We know that low calcium levels, because of their role in muscle contractility, put more pressure on the heart to deliver blood. Do I have a vitamin B12 deficiency - YouTube
Do I have a vitamin B12 deficiency - YouTube
Who is at greatest risk for developing a vitamin B12 deficiency, even though you may have a diet or supplementation that's adequate in vitamin B12? Some of the people that I see that come back highly vitamin B12 deficient are athletes, and that's mainly because the oxygen requirement of an athlete is much greater. So if you're an athlete and you're really struggling with low energy and lethargy, again, get back and ask your doctor, "Run that test." Ask your doc to measure your intracellular vitamin B12 level if you really want to know about longterm deficiency, because the fact of the matter is that B12, when it does its job, it works inside the cell. Everybody has homocysteine, but if your homocysteine shoots up over 11, then you might have a vitamin B12 deficiency. Ask your doctor, "Run methylmalonic acid." This is a marker for potential vitamin B12 deficiency as well. These markers are going to help you and your doctor detect that vitamin B12 deficiency much, much sooner. Doctors often misdiagnose zinc deficiency, unaware of impact of excess (...)
Doctors often misdiagnose zinc deficiency, and seem to be unaware of the impact of excess zinc on the body, shows a small audit of clinical practice. Zinc is an essential trace element that is required in daily quantities of 5.5 to 9.5 mg for men, and 4 to 7 mg for women. But zinc supplements are usually only available in formulations of 45 or 50 mg. The US recommended tolerable limit is 40 mg/day.

The Final Alkaline Video - YouTube
In the previous video, I tested food to show people who think fruits and veggies are alkaline, that they are not. In this video I explain what happens inside the body. There are many misconceptions like the food turns the body alkaline, or alkaline bodies are healthier and an acidic body is unhealthy... or cancer cannot live in an alkaline environment (it definitely can!) and where the concept of alkaline ash came from. Hopefully this video will help clear things up. This is my final alkaline video, because life is too short and precious to bicker about pH levels. Enjoy the video! Here are links to studies mentioned in the video Virtually all pH in the body is regulated through respiration and kidney function https://medreview.wordpress.com/2013/03/08/top-5-worst-internet-health-information-sites-curezone-org-part-2-alkalineacid-support-forum-part-2/ The kidneys produce bicarbonate ions that neutralize acids in your blood, enabling your body to closely manage blood pH https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19948674 loss of collagen is strongly linked with low levels of two acids — orthosilicic acid and ascorbic acid, or vitamin C — in your diet https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23273614 Clinical trials — which tend to be more accurate — have concluded that acid-forming diets have no impact on calcium levels in your body https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19948674 https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1359/jbmr.090515 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21529374 Many people argue that cancer only grows in an acidic environment and can be treated or even cured with an alkaline diet. However, comprehensive reviews on the relationship between diet-induced acidosis — or increased blood acidity caused by diet — and cancer conclude that there is no direct link https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22853725 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4916623/ cancer grows in normal body tissue, which has a slightly alkaline pH of 7.4. Many experiments have successfully grown cancer cells in an alkaline environment https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8605731 while tumors grow faster in acidic environments, the tumors create this acidity themselves.
